[Hooray!] My safe area blur hack has been rendered obsolete by SwiftUI 3.0
Some time ago, I'd used a bunch of hacks to do essentially the same thing - pout custom content in a "footer" with a blurred background that respects safe areas. Here it is for interest https://github.com/Rillieux/CustomBlurSafeAreas

Not an ios guy.But why don't you give Beam a look or one of the reddit clients mentioned here ( just do a 'find in page' ->search for reddit )
