- SaveOurShip2 with CE?
-
what about CE?
Combat Extended does have an autopatcher you can toggle built into the mod settings if you're willing to deal with some slight jank, there is an absurd amount of patches built into CE, so I'd try it with the mods you want and test it out
-
New to modding, are CE (combat extended) and Vanilla Expanded framework good mods or?
However, Combat Extended does have a large collection of patches in the mod itself, and has a list for your convenience. Popular mods typically gets patched up by these guys, especially vanilla expanded.
-
I know i will probably get downvoted, but
They've done a lot to work on compatibility. Feel free to take a look at what they have compatibility patches for here.
- It's just me or "ambition of the cosmic" mod is ruined with CE
-
Combat Extended and Alpha Animals?
you can also use this list but I guess that one is better since it shows when it was last updated so you can check if the patch is up to date with the mod.
-
What's your LEAST Favorite Popular Mod?
The only mods I've ever seen that are incompatible with CE are beam guns and bounce guns. They introduce weapons with special projectiles that seem to be fundamentally incompatible with how CE handles them. Otherwise, obscure HAR mods, gene mods, every faction mod I've heard of are all in the compatibility list. I think I saw VE Factions - Empire in this list even before it was released to public.
-
Is Rimmu nation compatible with CE and will there be some redundancy with vanilla weapons expanded?
The Rimmu-Nation collection (Weapons, Clothing, and Security) is part of the mods supported by Combat Extended's internal compatibility patch, so you should be fine unless they had been recently updated and their new version broke the CE compatibility patch.
-
Is there a Glitter-Tech CE patch?
Did you check the compatibility list?
-
CE incompatible with itself? What am i doing wrong?
Are you subbed to 2 versions of CE, i would recommend getting the version from git hub: https://github.com/CombatExtended-Continued/CombatExtended

mods conflicting
I have encountered this bug several times and it seems to be related to a few vanilla expanded mods (Or even the framework itself). I suggest downloading the latest Vanilla Expanded Framework on GitHub. It worked for me.
-
Vanilla Expanded team please, I beg you, even if it's a small, single-bug fix, please document your changes so we know what is or isn't fixed?
No comment on whether or not VEF should do Steam changelogs, but the commit messages in the repo are usually helpful.

Information panel issue, was showing things such as weapon damage, penetration etc. at first, same with turrets, has now defaulted to "This is your accuracy that's all lmao", please help.

How to add a custom structure to starting map with
I recently discovered that you could add custom structures to a scenario through the use of the Vanilla expanded framework. I found this GitHub page on how to export a structure and managed to do that.

Animated Projectile help.......
the vanilla expanded framework Documentation might help you, even uses a flamethrower as its example.

Modding quick tips
Starting with the worm, you could create an animal, make it only spawn in a certain biome (desert). Or if you want your Boss Event, have it only spawn via an event, have it always manhunter, and maybe reduce it's speed. Then add VE Framwork's Fertilizer to have it leave a trail of "spice"(a new floortype). You could make an unbuildable floortype that deconstructs into a "spice" item. That item could function as a drug, or just a very valuable resource, or both.

The comp is made public in the VE Framework, btw, you can use the Framework to adapt this to any mod: https://github.com/AndroidQuazar/VanillaExpandedFramework/wiki/Furniture-Comp-Classes
