“Claude”: Anthropic’s Rival to ChatGPT
It's already been done: https://github.com/greshake/Alice/
That said, in this case it's designed to always involve a human in the loop and it prompts before sending any data back to ChatGPT. But still.

Thoughts on ChatGPT and the AI-Box Experiment
However, it feels like it's only a matter of time before someone does that. For example, we already know that ChatGPT is (somewhat) good at creating code and that if it is given compilation errors, is able (sometimes) to fix the code it created. It's an entirely reasonable thought that someone may think to make this an automatic process; to make a tool that allow the AI to take actions in an IDE and to see the results of its actions. In fact, a project named "Alice" has already done something like this for the Linux terminal. It has a number of safeguards (it is explicitly designed to involve a human in the loop and always asks before sending the data back to ChatGPT) but it exists.
- It’s not AI that’s dangerous, the danger is people with an AI assistant
- Giving ChatGPT access to a real terminal..?

Announcing the Prompt Golfing project, a community effort to build a system of prompts and feedback loops to build a "true" AGI which can achieve any high-level task by breaking goals into steps recursively
Alice is a project aiming to give ChatGPT control of your computer. This was also one of the first things that came to my mind, and I'm sure many thought of it as well. AGI is already here. It's just missing a way to interface with other things like calculators, terminal commands, ...
