Ciphey VS scapy

I also discovered Ciphey. Neat little tool indeed, but it's being deprecated. It's mentioned in this issue[1] and being replaced with Ares[2]. Neither could decipher this strange encryption[3] I used it on :(

It can help you detect various encryption and encodings and even decrypt them. Ciphey

I followed the steps here . I am running Python 3.10 (64). When I try to install Ciphey using the instructions, on my cmd prompt I get the following:

if you're looking for something that would decrypt most well-known encodings/ciphers, there's ciphey. but no such thing exists to decrypt every known file type because, if it did, everyone would be using it.

In the last installment we looked at IP headers. One thing you might have seen missing is the port numbers. That's pretty important for making an internet connection. Tshark can't do that. The Wireshark app does update its Conversations window pretty frequently when doing a live capture, so that might be a reasonable alternative. Otherwise you could probably also cobble something together yourself with a tool like scapy or some other Python library, but that would clearly be more work.

I don't know if you can do it within the gui, I don't see anything but perhaps a bit of Python code would do it. There is a python library called Scapy that may have functions to help you along the way.
