Btw you will probably want to use (Advanced Renamer)[https://www.advancedrenamer.com/] for more complex rename rules, for Linux you can use (Szyszka)[https://github.com/qarmin/szyszka] but tbh I just run Advanced Renamer on wine since I can find a renamer tool that is powerful like Advanced Renamer is for Linux.

Yes, it is alive, I opened some time PR to add new features - https://github.com/qarmin/szyszka/pull/63, but I was focused on new version of Czkawka, so now I can back to developing Szyszka again.
