You want to use poppler to properly extract the images from a pdf file, most software that are suppose to do this extraction do it all wrong changing formats and resizing the original format, why the reason you are having such problems.

Btw you will probably want to use (Advanced Renamer)[https://www.advancedrenamer.com/] for more complex rename rules, for Linux you can use (Szyszka)[https://github.com/qarmin/szyszka] but tbh I just run Advanced Renamer on wine since I can find a renamer tool that is powerful like Advanced Renamer is for Linux.
