Ducky Shine 7 ghosted backlights?
EDIT - Additional Info: I do usually use third-party RGB controller software to modify the backlights, I didn't realise how limited the vanilla Ducky software is in customisability when I bought the keyboard, so I use Aurora RGB for this https://www.project-aurora.com

How to sync RGB light of a Steelseries keyboard and a Logitech mouse?
Unless with the help of third-party projects. For example, Aurora.
-
So Cryptic put a Starfleet logo on Razer keyboards during login screen…or at least they tried.
It might be possible to do it using Project Aurora / git hub, an opensource 3rd party rgb middleware that tries to juggle the various proprietary APIs.

G915: Make Numpad and Caps change color when pressed
I run a program called Aurora on top of G Software to get that functionality though.

Ask HN: What lesser-known accessories do you use with your computer?
I have a Roccat Vulcan 120 RGB keyboard which has a sweet volume knob on it. Don't use the software that comes with it though. I use Project Aurora[1] to control the lights on the keys. I'm able to program color/fx/animation per key per program that has focus. It's useful if you have new software or a game you're not used to. For example, you can highlight all the relevant keys to help you memorize them.
But mainly I use it to play an audio waveform of any music that's playing. And highlight caps lock whenever it's on.

Better PC Cooling with Python and Grafana
You don't really need PID, just a decent fan curve with https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases

Latest insider preview took away fundamental functions
I think you're looking for FanControl https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases There is a bit of initial setup but nothing crazy, and it guides you through with a nice and clean UI. Once you're in, you can set your fan curve and all the smaller details if you want, like how long will the fans take to spin up or spin down, or how long to delay a speed change after hitting a certain temperature threshold so that its not constantly revving up and down

New build advice
You could even replace all the fans with Noctua nf a12s and control using this and still have saved money: https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases

Recently built a PC and it was dead silent for the first few weeks, but a couple days ago it started producing this low humming/buzzing sound. Any idea what could be causing this?
MSI Afterburner should work for gpu fans. Motherboards typically have their own version of software for fan control, so you could use that (dl from mfg website), or there's this one that I know of that should work for any mobo (although there's probably others): https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases

Fan issues.

I've seen a lot of reccs pointing to https://github.com/Rem0o/FanControl.Releases if you don't want to stick with your BIOS to control fans.
