Good emulator for debugging RWTS code?
AppleWin debugger dev here. Please raise a feature request and I'll add it to my backlog of debugger features.

Testing Generic RAM card
I added Saturn LC support a few years back that has the gory details about the I/O bank switching which extended the 16KB LC. IIRC I used the Saturn System Disk to test that the LC was working according to the specs.

New release of Total Replay
I occasionally look for AppleWin feedback/questions but the main place us devs hang out is on Usenet's comp.emulators.apple2 and on GitHub but note that our GitHub and UseNet is for bugs/feedback and not help with specific Apple 2 software. That's what comp.sys.apple2 is for.

First stage of project CompuSar is nearing completion
Understood. We've been tracking down the odd LSS (Logic State Sequencer) bugs of the drive controller in AppleWin. You might be able to reach out to Tom if you have questions. Better yet would be to hit up usenet c.s.a2 to post questions there.

How to configure AppleWin for paddle controllers?
I've created Issue #1079 so you can track this.

Ask HN: How can I break into retro computers?
The least expensive way to try things out is, of course, via emulation, and there's very active work and archiving being done for early 8-bit microcomputers such as Apple II, Commodore 64, TRS-80 and Atari machines. Apple emulators, such as Virtual ][ (http://virtualii.com) and AppleWin (https://github.com/AppleWin/AppleWin) at least, let you emulate not only the Apple II but CP/M as well. There's old hardware out there as well, with all the problems associated with it.
For other old systems, such as the PDPs, Vaxen and others, there's simh (http://simh.trailing-edge.com/ and https://github.com/simh/simh).

Apple II Emulation Evaluation (2022)
Check out Mariani, a port of AppleWin (Windows) for macOS and Linux. It's open-source, cycle accurate and emulates a fairly good number of devices: https://github.com/sh95014/AppleWin
The last version finally has a debugger. It lacks the killer feature of Virtual II though: the ability to mount a folder. This is gold for cross development.

AppleWin Controls Don't Have Buttons
FYI, I built a native macOS UI for AppleWin around the Linux port, which should be more convenient to use than Crossover if you’d like to give it a try. Let me know if any of the features I haven’t implemented yet are important to you.

Question About PDF Images
My example is for macOS/AppKit in Objective-C, so your mileage may vary for iOS, but basically you override drawRect:. The same calls that would have drawn into a view on the screen would render PDF for the printer.

Apple ][ games for MacBook Pro?
Well! Allow me to pimp my port of the venerable AppleWin emulator to MacOS! You can find it at https://github.com/sh95014/AppleWin/releases/tag/Mariani-1.0-1 , do let me know if you run into any issues.

Many Lessons Learned Building a Cocoa App
Hi! I've been away from AppKit (working almost entirely in iOS) for over a decade now, but recently decided to port an Apple //e emulator to macOS, and took the chance to try to build as "complete" an app as I could. I also decided to write down the lessons I learned along the way:
-
New Native macOS Port of AppleWin
The code is available at https://github.com/sh95014/AppleWin but it would take a little bit of work to build yourself. Unfortunately Apple's security features in recent versions of macOS that make it a bit complicated to distribute binaries, so I'm posting first in case some of you want to try it out before I figure out how to do it properly.
