Not sure if this is right sub, but what are any good free tape emulators to use for mastering? (Metal song)
There's a couple. For example CHOW Tape Model or SN03 Tape Recorder (the latter being Windows only).

Can anybody recommend a great plugin to make sounds sound unpredictably fucked up but in a pleasingly analog textured way? I want to be able to picture the sound dissipating into little granules or eating itself and imploding or becoming hollowed out.

Band-Split-Delay - Band Split Delay plugin which will hopefully be released to the public one day. The aim of this plugin is to offer 3 bands each with their own reverb and delay settings. The inspiration for this came from FL Studio's Patcher, in which I've made this exact thing and it sounds awesome when paired with the right instruments.
