Aegisub VS HandBrake

Out of curiosity, why start from scratch and not become a contributor to https://github.com/aegisub/aegisub ?

Aegisub you can start with search "aegisub karaoke effect" on youtube.

Aegisub and Subtitle Edit are the two tools I recommend.

Creating an issue at https://github.com/Aegisub/Aegisub/issues and/or https://github.com/TypesettingTools/Aegisub/issues may lead someone to look into it eventually, or perhaps others will respond with information that could be helpful for fixing it.

Yeah, it does. Apparently, the official website was -for some reason- disabled, but you can still find a safe download link through this link: https://github.com/Aegisub/Aegisub/releases

We are mostly using Aegisub DC, which is a still maintained fork of Aegisub (Currently using 9212 since the newest one has a dealbreaking bug). Though recently there has been some activity on the main repo, so hopefully there will be an official new version soon.

https://handbrake.fr/ its very easy to use.

nothing actually, i just mentioned it as an encoding frontend.

At this point, use https://handbrake.fr/ to transcode into a higher res MP4 and use as proxy footage,

Maybe you could try HandBrake.
