Unfortunately, Ada is not used for professional game development, but it will probably help a single developer to develop a bug-free game more than C++. For a 2D game, one good option as toolkit is the binding to SFML.

What Did You Work On in 2021?
I resurrected an abandoned binding to SFML and updated it to version 2.5. I finally made so many changes to the Ada API, that I can consider it my own work, and have the joy to see it used by other people.

How to handle platform/feature-specific code?

I did some work on Ada GUI and incorporated D. Norte de Moraes' 512- and 1024-bit versions of Threefish into the PragmARCs. I also prepared a presentation on Ada GUI for FOSDEM.
