If you're new, I recommend the youtube channel "Brackeys". This video talks about 2D player movement and also slopes. But, I would also strongly advise that you don't just copy paste the code blindly. Learn what method does what, what different classes do, learn to read code. It made a huge difference for me when I was a beginner. I put unity to the shelf and spent close to a month learning JUST C#, and when I came back to unity, a lot of things made a lot more sense.

Hello everybody, I started my project with the 2D character controller from Brackeys https://youtu.be/dwcT-Dch0bA, but unfortunately my character slides down the stairs.

The controller object references a file called CharacterController2D that I got from following a Brackeys tutorial here

Where to get mods? Most important bit first - https://stopmodreposts.org/ There's a lot of websites that claim to be hosting mods but are actually full of shit. They are lying about the mod, or worse, tricking people into downloading malware/viruses.

Fighting them is kind of pointless since the owner is often in a country that doesn't care about copyright, and if they get removed from Google they'll just spin up a new site within a few hours. Yeah... stay away from whatever website that is. You should generally only get your mods from CurseForge or Modrinth. The overwhelming vast majority of other sites are illegal reposts (https://stopmodreposts.org/).
