I also tried installed jellyfin on tizen using this and got the exact same issue. Also looking for a solution.
Besides react-tv-space-navigation, there are other libraries worth considering or mentioning for creating TV apps that require spatial navigation. A couple of examples include Norigin Spatial Navigation and ReNative. Here's a quick comparison:
I thought that to be a bit janky though so I made an app for tizen (a widget not a watchface) that pulls the data from nightscout directly so no phone involved just internet. I developed it for tizen though (not watchOS) and it only displays the current BG. I put it in a GitHub repo but the setup is quite involved as I didn't really want to publish it to the galaxy store and everything.
