Project mention: Reconstructing Obsidian Features in Vim and Bash | news.ycombinator.com | 2023-06-06Shameless plug: there's also [wiki.vim](https://github.com/lervag/wiki.vim/), which I believe is starting to be a real contender to Vimwiki.
Regardless: In my experience, Vim + wiki with some additional plugins for fast searching and navigation is a very good combo!
I created and open sourced my own. It let’s me control the privacy of my data and have the minimum required info for journaling which is basic statistics, taking screenshots and keeping a diary. If you’re interested you can check it out here : https://github.com/Eleven-Trading/TradeNote
Still working on mt TUI app Tui-Journal After the big release the last weekend. Currently I'm working on integrating MakeFile the CI/CD pipelines and I'm contributing to other TUI projects to get familiar with other brilliant approaches for TUI applications in rust.
Project mention: What do you use to track your garden progress? App/website? Spreadsheets? Paper? | /r/druggardening | 2023-06-19Most existing apps seem to be minimum-viable-product garbage: Just a journal/blog with ridiculous SaaS pricing. The good ones tend to focus on outdoor vegetable gardening. So many apps are abandoned.
Project mention: Show HN: Pika – Simple, beautiful blogging software | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-02-06I can relate to wanting something simpler to use than a static site generator or a full fledged CMS!
For me to use a personal website application I want it to be open source in case the provider ever disappears. I took this approach with my take on a personal blogging app, PostOwl (https://github.com/PostOwl/postowl). It has a similar in-place editing feel to Pika. Now I just need to offer a hosted version so people don't have to install it themselves!
Project mention: Ask HN: Has Anyone Trained a personal LLM using their personal notes? | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-04-03Folks at gitbook are kind enough to give me a LLM over my notes https://til.bhupesh.me
