My work on AGS, so far, has been mostly focused on adding support for additional features that weren't available before. I implemented the possibility to write your own PolKit agent in AGS and have just recently gotten secure session locking via the ext-session-lock-v1 Wayland protocol working. I still need to clean up the code and send PRs upstream, though.
That said, my config is available on GitHub [0]. If you want to see much more complete setups, you should check out the configurations by Aylur (creator of AGS) [1], kotontrion [2], or end_4 [3]. I'm sure there are lots more that are notable, but these immediately came to mind.

Hi for the past few days I have been trying to move away from hyprland to xorg based dynamic tiling window manager. I finally settled on qtile after considering several factors. The main reason I am posting on this repo is because I am looking for unofficial resources on qtile that I could use to expand my config other than the great official repo. I am aware of qtile-extras but are there any resources like this https://github.com/hyprland-community/awesome-hyprland that is tailored towards qtile? Or any other resources I haven't mentioned in this post?
Project mention: Show HN: Multi-monitor KVM using just a USB switch | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-02-10This is great, but currently very limited; partial support for Windows. Seems inclined more towards Apple.
https://github.com/feschber/lan-mouse
Project mention: NixOS-generators – Collection of VM and Container disk image builders for NixOS | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-03-26I’ve found it most helpful to review other people’s configurations to learn Nix.
Some specific ones I really like:
https://github.com/malob/nixpkgs
https://github.com/fufexan/dotfiles
I keep a not comprehensive GitHub Stars list of Nix stuff I find here if you want more:

If you aren’t familiar, Nix-Darwin allows you to codify your MacOS deployments in a fashion comparable to NixOS. As a huge Nix-Darwin user myself, I have found malob’s repo extremely helpful for ideas with MacOS configuration. Nix-Darwin has made me so happy as a MacOS user. :)
Some other unsolicited tips:
1. Start with Nix flakes for configuration
2. Invest in Home-Manager before NixOS or Nix-Darwin
3. Ask people for help in Matrix or Discourse — my experience is that Nix-related folk are very welcoming and understanding
Good luck!
I've been trying to daily drive Linux for the past 2 months or so. Started out on EndeavourOS and didn't had any problems until I tried to make it useable in secure boot (I really want to play Valorant and not bother each time switching secure boot in bios) and failed miserably due to a combination of lack of knowledge and stupidity. I briefly tried NixOS and while this config is beautiful, I just didn't enjoy the way NixOs is customized.
I'm running arch linux with hyprland on an nvidia laptop(MSI Katana 17B12V) with this configuration: https://github.com/JaKooLit/Arch-Hyprland (I answered yes to all questions except the one with rog laptops) and I'm having some issues with closing the lid. When I close it, and open it back up again it doesn't wake up from sleep. Only when I then close it up to the point where the keyboard lights disapear (not fully closed) and then open it back up again it wakes up from sleep. What also works is if I suspend the laptop over the power menu and then close the lid. But even then, when I wake it back up by opening the lid again, the screen turns on, goes to black and then turns on again
To work around it, it seems that one have to use a clipboard manager. Under X11 I used CopyQ, which did solve it for me then. Now under Wayland I did not get CopyQ to work out of the box. I have instead tried using cliphist https://github.com/sentriz/cliphist
This is what I use to install custom awesomewm. This is taken from rxyhn/yuki dotfiles. And here is my dotfiles.
https://github.com/JaKooLit/Hyprland-Dots Has amazing Hyprland Dots.
Project mention: Tips on how to structure your home directory (2023) | news.ycombinator.com | 2024-04-19The “user-dirs.dir” setting is something I didn’t know was configurable. I thought I was always stuck with ~/Desktop, ~/Documents, …
Have slowly been using nixos as my primary driver (still in an emulated vm though). One thing I love here is the declarative nature. Lately have been experimenting with various desktop environments. I tried gnome and “it works” but have been fascinated with the idea of “ricing” my setup.
Currently using a Wayland compositor called hyprland to achieve something like this: https://github.com/outfoxxed/hy3?tab=readme-ov-file#demo
Community has experienced some drama though with fdo/x/wlroots. Always willing to make a change up if a better alt comes up though.
you can use https://github.com/nwg-piotr/nwg-displays if you want a graphical way.
Fira Code
I was suggested to try https://github.com/Duckonaut/split-monitor-workspaces which apparently handles it better, but I've not tried this yet.
