Project mention: 8bitmods Blueretro N64 wireless adaptor is sold out - are the AliExpress ones similar? | /r/n64 | 2023-06-17
When I overclock my controller my frames drop significantly. I hold a stable 240 frames normally, however when I use https://github.com/LordOfMice/hidusbf overclock with a PS5 Dualsense controller it stutters my frames to 30 every now and then. I'm running a 2080 with a i9-9900k if that matters. Any solutions?
Come on over to /r/hotasDIY. Best thing to do would be to get an STM32 Bluepill, get a 2 axis joystick from Adafruit (MPN: 245), get a breadboard (MPN: 4539), and some jumper wires (MPN: 1956). Then you can flash the Bluepill with Freejoy firmware and set it up with their configurator, no coding required.
-devreorder
Creating a small module to provide a higher-level interface to all these methods and events made sense. Something that would simplify every action and allow for more standard-looking calls.
I tried to use that program years ago, wasn't really satisfied. I believe there's a program that will let you use the keyboard as a... keyboard, I guess. https://github.com/Ravbug/GlovePIE
does the dpad work for controlling the map? if not then maybe you could try this NFS XtendedInput mod https://github.com/xan1242/NFS-XtendedInput
You're gonna probably want both the ThirteenAG and XtendedInput fixes. Both really helpful at getting this game up and running in the current day.
Each player's subcontroller is wired to its own Teensy 4, running a slightly modified version of this. The mod is because the lib doesn't properly support all the buttons, and because I don't have analog triggers, unfortunately.
Here's what I mean. https://github.com/henrebotha/aux-buttons-pcb/ I explain there how I chose the switch height, mounting height, etc.
