Lastly, Tailwind CSS is a utility-first CSS framework packed with classes like flex, pt-4, text-center, and rotate-90 that can be composed to build any design, directly in your markup.
I chose Tachyons over Tailwind because Tachyons is an atomic CSS framework, similar to Tailwind, however it's much lighter weight. Tailwind tends to be a bit heavier without using post CSS processing so I wanted to stick with something smaller.
Project mention: Are you still using the ternary operator to dynamically apply Tailwind styles? | dev.to | 2023-09-09Tailwind CSS is a CSS framework that has gained incredible popularity, with usage skyrocketing 40% in three years, according to the State of CSS 2022. It offers benefits such as development speed, maintainability, and gzip optimization. As a result, it is expected to exceed 50% in the 2023 survey. However, the readability of Tailwind CSS decreases sharply as the style becomes more complex, which is a typical disadvantage of the utility-first approach. Personally, I recommend my library, CSS Lube, but in this article, I would like to introduce some simple tips that can improve the developer experience when using the Atomic CSS approach.
So frameworks like https://www.pollen.style/ are doing this. Personally I still prefer the tailwind approach.

WEll, I wrote a functional CSS framework that is platform agnostic. It was built on sass. Post: https://www.minid.net/2019/4/7/the-css-utilitarian-methodolo..., github https://github.com/meerita/utilcss I am working a different project now, and now I evolved it to simply pure css files that i compile later with postcss and purge everything.
Hey Hacker News community!
In the ever-evolving landscape of CSS frameworks, encompassing both functional and atomic class types, I want to present a project that holds its own unique place. Before the era of Tailwind, I had been utilizing this particular framework for countless years, and today, I'm excited to share its virtues with all of you.

What sets this framework apart is its robust methodology for crafting CSS. Distinctively, it champions the ethos of pure CSS, without any need for transpilation or cumbersome installations. This simplicity not only streamlines the development process but also ensures that the learning curve is gentle, particularly when juxtaposed with other intricate options out there.
