  • Is there any hosting service that hosts Veloren that I can try?

Oracle has a free tier if you just want to experiment. With the 1 AMD CPU / 1GB RAM option you could try the docker solution mentioned by another user. For the quad core 24GB RAM Ampere instance I can recommend this script here, which will take care of the installation and auto updating for you. Looking at the script, there's no reason it shouldn't work on x86 instances also if for some reason you hate docker.

A docker build for ARM would be awesome. However, I've just a few minutes ago had success with this script here (barring 1 very minor issue that I solved) which I actually found by running a search on Discord. The performance on a quad core Ampere server is waaaay better than the AMD based single core option. As is, the Ampere shape with 4 cores I think would easily handle the 5 or so players I require. Obviously for the script above I haven't had it long enough to know if it auto updates successfully or not. Ask me next week! I'll leave it running.
