Wifi on Kali

The most recent update (about 20 hours ago) ruined my wifi card driver (rtl8821ce-dkms) and I cannot get it running anymore

After fighting with all of that I had to find another driver that would build on kernel 5.13. Unfortunately while searching for a rtl8821ce driver for you I only found this GitHub which was targeted for Ubuntu 18.10 so I don't know if it'll build properly or not, there were some posts on arch forums that used this GitHub to build on 5.12 so maybe it's worth a shot but I'm not guaranteeing anything.
Is there a way to use packages from other distros

Just install dkms linux-headers and run git clone https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce.git; cd rtl8821ce; sudo ./dkms-install.shreddit.com/r/voidlinux | 2021-09-15
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am a linux noob. I was thinking of switching to void, but my wifi card has no official support in linux of any distro. I need to use This Repository. This repo only has build for gentoo, arch, and ubuntu. is there a workaround? Or am I stuck on Arch.
Ubuntu to Arch migration experience.

P.S.: I am a CS undergrad. So I'll be doing mostly dev stuff, gamming is not a priority, but dev software is. Also, my laptop has Realtek wifi card (rtl8821ce) which doesn't have good support in linux (I tried tomaspinho/rtl8821ce, but still I face some issues), so better support for wifi card will be much appreciated.
I really like Fedora. Gnome is amazing and it increases my productivity a lot but it's ALWAYS crashing. I thought maybe I'm the only one but lots of people are saying the same thing and no one seems to have an answer. So sad. I really don't want to use Windows 11 but, I might have to.

you may try to install (a newer?) driver via DKMS https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce
error message when trying to use wifi driver (debian 11 unstable)

You have to recompile or reinstall the driver - sudo apt install bc module-assistant build-essential dkms git clone https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce cd rtl8821ce sudo m-a prepare sudo ./dkms-install.sh
I'm missing kernel headers for the kernel I'm using, how do I fix that?

supported wifi cards for linux

Use this : https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce Even if official support exist with the rtw88 module, it does not work very well. Just follow the instruction and don't forget to update it before rebooting after a pacman -Syu.
Fedora 34 with RTL8821CE, Rfe2

After some research i read that i am not the only one having problems with the Realtek WIFI RTL8821CE Chip (i got the RFE2 variant of it) and there was a custom made driver on github.
There is no wifi setting showing in my Ubuntu 20.04 settings and I don't know how to get it
reddit.com/r/Ubuntu | 2021-08-07
sudo apt update sudo apt install build-essential git dkms git clone https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce cd rtl8821ce sudo ./dkms-install.sh sudo modprobe 8821ce reboot
Fedora 34 constantly crashing

Check : https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers for an idea of what and how is supported and : https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce but seems to be also problematic on Fedora 34 from issues list : https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce/issues/231 but unstable is better then crashing ;>
Does Anyone Know What This Means?

That's a bummer. I've already been dealing with this issue for 2 months. My computer is a 2020 HP laptop with 10th gen i5, the Wi-Fi is a realtek chip, and before they added my driver to the kernel I used dkms to install https://github.com/tomaspinho/rtl8821ce and that worked fine, except that you have to uninstall it before each update and that's a pain, which is why I was happy when the driver finally landed in the kernel, but of course all is not good. I'm not 100% sure the issue is that Wi-Fi chip either.
