Port from ArkOS to Garlic OS
Is there any way that homebrew for ArkOS (RG351) can be ported over to GarlicOS. Specifically I am wondering what it would take to port over the M8 Tracker frontend m8c for ArkOS to GarlicOS: https://github.com/jasonporritt/rg351_m8c
- Alternative to M8 while its being restocked
- M8 headless on the RG351V issues
- m8c on the RG351V issues

Don’t sleep on LSDJ! Fun, surprisingly powerful, and can be played on almost any cheap emulation handheld. Demo lead with random vibrato (using command tables) on Anbernic RG351V
I will! It looks and sounds incredible, and I noticed there is a github page for RG351 devices to make things even easier.

I created a “Extra Dirty” Wireless Dirtywave M8 Tracker synthesizer since stock was* gone
Yeah actually, I found this guide link here and it seems that the programming side was done and tested by the owner. Each Linux system may need porting over but since the code already exists it’s probably multitudes of times easier now. The owner of the GitHub made 3 start types. M8 original, M8 performance and M8 Pulse but I haven’t tested all 3 yet. Overall I believe the teensy allows you to pick up where you left off when turned off and on again so that’s cool. Only thing missing is the touch function.

Adding a script to the GUI
I bought my RG351V primarily to run the M8 Tracker ( https://github.com/jasonporritt/rg351_m8c ). The install onto ArkOS went OK and I can run the tracker by navigating to the startup script in the new roms directory called "M8".

On the RG351 (arkOS) when setting up buttons in the "config_m8c_buttons" menu...what does "axis options", "axis edit" (etc) stand for?
I got M8 headless working fairly easily using the instructions given on https://github.com/jasonporritt/rg351_m8c although Arkos did not install without problems - the file system expansion script was not completing without error (even though it did in fact complete OK so the error was probably just a warning) and this lead to the device hanging and effectively a boot loop after a forcible hard shutdown. Now I have to work out how to run it without having to drill down through the file app to manually run the M8 start script!
