2) PopOS does not use GRUB but Systemd boot. As a boot manager Pop Os uses kernelstub(it is already preinstalled): https://github.com/pop-os/kernelstub

How to always show logs during boot in systemd-boot?
I think you might be able to this using kernelstub. Not sure how removing parameters works though
