The "Find My" Bluetooth protocol was reverse engineered and the network can be used by any custom hardware. A determined stalker can just get an ESP32 or nRF51288 board and flash it with OpenHaystack. Or order an already prebuilt device from someone - it's very easy to make. Going to be a bit bulkier and there won't be UWB stuff in there for extra precision, but it won't beep.
