I don’t want my child to use Snapchat
Not that I particularly agree with the banhammer solution, as you're fighting a losing battle that way (you can never block stuff on anybody else's networks), you could set up a network wide block list using something like Pi Hole and a list of domains that Snapchat uses, such as https://github.com/nickoppen/pihole-blocklists/blob/master/blocklist-snapchat.txt. Doing this will redirect every network request to Snapchat back to your own network, and obviously, Snapchat will no longer work as a result. However, the moment you do that, if your kid is determined, he'll just switch to something else. Is there a reason you're against Snapchat in particular? It sounds like you would have been okay with it had he asked permission first. Personally, Tiktok is off limits in my house, due to the ridiculous amount of spying they do on their users. So far I haven't needed to do anything like this for my kid, but I can understand the desire to do so.
