    Depending on what you want to get out of Linux, check out /r/SurfaceLinux and the linux-surface Github wiki. Most things work with a custom kernel, but multi-touch and pen support is still not working properly for the Pro 7.

When trying to install the Surface Kernel (following the Arch Repository of this guide), everything goes seemingly well until I get to the step that has the /etc/pacman.conf command.     Getting the Surface Linux kernel to work is quite easy if you are willing to copy/paste the commands that are specific to your distribution. https://github.com/linux-surface/linux-surface/wiki/Installation-and-Setup Post install, you should just be able to select the Linux Surface kernel from GRUB.
