I am pretty new to the 3d-Printing game. I bought a Mega Zero 2.0. Now I have read, that a software update is recommended. I have found in another post on this sub this link: https://github.com/kad/Marlin/releases/tag/v2.0.8.1-kad1
  • Which Firmware to use?
It looks like the wiki doesn’t match the current releases. It seems the only firmware for stock configuration is https://github.com/kad/Marlin/releases/download/v2.0.8.2-kad1/amz2_melzi-2.0.8.2-kad1-firmware.hex.
Release download page has many variants for stock and SKR mini boards. As well as pointer to wiki pages about flashing https://github.com/kad/Marlin/releases/tag/v2.0.8.2-kad1
There are different ways to connect bltouch to stock board: https://github.com/kad/Marlin/wiki/Leveling-sensors

To flash binary firmware, refer to wiki at https://github.com/kad/Marlin/wiki For windows, simplest method is avrdudess, ot has UI interface and “portable” installation archive has all needed pieces in single place.

I've been enjoing the MZ 2.0 with a SKR MINI MZ 1.0 board for quite a while now, but I've gotten into some problems after updating the firmware from 2.0.5.2 to the latest Marlin version 2.0.7.2 in order to install a BLTOUCH. I've ben using this firmware from this site.

Agreed... if you REALLY want to put Marlin 2 on the old Melzi board, I'd recommend basing your config on how u/l0vader has configured his excellent firmwares for the Anycubic Mega Zero machines as he's got a very nice feature combo going on the same hardware board as the creality v1 (Melzi board clone)

u/ruz1na, so, to use these, you'll want to take a look at https://github.com/kad/Marlin/wiki/Build-Variants to determine the naming scheme that matches how you've attached your BLTouch to the board, then head over to today's builds folder at http://orava.kad.name/3d/20210415/ and pick the .hex file that starts with amz2melzi_bl and matches the scheme for how you've got your BLtouch plugged in according to that prior link.

Firmware should be available from the KAD anycubic mega unified firmware GitHub fairly soon... but right now only a pre-compiled AMZv1 (no heated bed) stock board firmware is currently available at http://orava.kad.name/3d/experimental/amz_melzi_akp_zmin-bugfix-2.0.x-20210403-firmware.hex
