Alternative script to HEVC
Also, as the other person said, Opus is a better codec that lets you push the audio bitrate even lower, as long as you’re ok with an MKV output. However, if you need to stick with MP4, you’ll have to use AAC, but there’s still another way to squeeze the bitrate further. As I said in the reply to said other person, the FDK-AAC encoder sounds better at lower bitrates. I noticed you’re using a Mac, so for macOS you can probably use this to build a version of FFMPEG with FDK-AAC. Not only will it sound better at <=128k, but you can choose to enable the HE-AAC (does not explicitly encode high frequencies, but instead saves information on how to reconstruct the frequencies using harmonics, becomes useful at <=80kbps) and HE-AACv2 (same as previous, but adds another data saving feature where the stereo audio is technically encoded at mono but with metadata about how to partially reconstruct the stereo image, useful at <=40kbps and TikTok uses this format at 32kbps) extensions to crush bitrates even further. See the FFMPEG wiki for how to enable HE-AAC with the FDK-AAC encoder.

Is there an app like Photos.app that can let you change a video's thumbnail/poster frame (and crop/trim)? Also without needing to make a whole project, if possible.
