How I consol...lified my gaming experience
I'm using Fedora38+Gnome+Wayland (New script supports KDE+Wayland). So there's a limited amount of options for this (i.e xrandr isn't viable for display switching etc...). The most convenient tool I found was gnome-monitor-config. So after building (the official repo doesn't have build instructions, you can find them in my fork) and experimenting with it, I wrote a script that takes an argument (display mode) and automatically is able to switch to the specified setup. So either workstation setup (monitors) or gaming/media (TV) setup. If anyone's in a similar situation... it's worth trying. I'm having a lot more fun with this more laid back gaming setup :P.
- Triple monitor setup with two monitors running in mirrored mode.

extension to turn off second display
If you are using Xorg take a look at Xrandr, if on wayland Gnome-Monitor-config is a good solution. If you choose the latter take a look at this thread for installation and command structure: https://www.reddit.com/r/gnome/comments/zaunxf/turn_off_the_primary_screen_with_wayland/

You can use gnome-monitor-config. It's packaged in Fedora at least.

Extend AND Duplicate Display Option?
Mutter can do it, but the Displays panel can't. If you install gnome-monitor-config (It's packaged on some distros, but otherwise you can build it from source), you can do something like this:
