  • I'm using Fedora38+Gnome+Wayland (New script supports KDE+Wayland). So there's a limited amount of options for this (i.e xrandr isn't viable for display switching etc...). The most convenient tool I found was gnome-monitor-config. So after building (the official repo doesn't have build instructions, you can find them in my fork) and experimenting with it, I wrote a script that takes an argument (display mode) and automatically is able to switch to the specified setup. So either workstation setup (monitors) or gaming/media (TV) setup. If anyone's in a similar situation... it's worth trying. I'm having a lot more fun with this more laid back gaming setup :P.

Miscellaneous tools for making things easier on a day to day for me... (by twilfredo)

  • This is the script for anyone interested. Note it's not the best thing in the world, but gets the job done. Of-course if you want to use it, you will need to modify it to match your setup. Let me know if you have any questions! happy to help.
