  • Is it me or is Hearthstone extremely poorly optimized for PC? My gaming PC runs AAA games at better average fps at this point!

I'm currently working (more like been sitting on my to-do list for a while) on an electron app that will sit in the tray and with a single click will suspend and resume all processes that u've picked in advanced, such as bnet overwolf etc. so they won't work in the background but at the same time u won't have to wait 15-30 sec till they load if u wanna use em, u can even use a hotkey for that instead of a tray icon, it will use PsSuspend by microsoft, a very simple command program that suspends a process, in fact there's already smth like this done https://github.com/MetaIdea/eco-mode-app-switch but this only suspends the main process and not all of its children/siblings, and steam bnet discord overwolf etc. spawn more than 1 process so it doesn't work for em completely
  • Why do this deck tracker run so many processes on my PC even while Hearthstone isn't running?

There's an app https://github.com/MetaIdea/eco-mode-app-switch, the allapps version suspends processes like overwolf. However, as of right now, it can only suspend the top process that started it all, not all of the processes that were spawned by the top one. for that, you can manually suspend them using windows's in-built resource monitor, but obviously it takes some clicks. personally i do this to discord, bnet, overwolf, guilded etc. because i don't need notifications like hey you received a new message or whatever. but it is annoying that you have to manually resume the processes whenever you wanna alt tab back to them, the author of the app says an automated paid version is in the works that will also be able to suspend background processes (which is i imagine the processes spawned from the main ones), for now the best bet is to either manually suspend and resume them, or use the invoke windows api script:
