A microphone that is very sensitive to vibrations.
I wonder if a piezoelectric microphone could work for asmr. It would work for heart beats because they are very sensitive to vibrations. There actually is a patent on such a device. https://patents.google.com/patent/US8320576B1/en . I have actually built a piezoelectric microphone, it involves some soldering. My design is here: https://github.com/Supermagnum/double-gain Sadly aisler doesn't offer kitted parts anymore,just the circuit board. One has too look at the schematic diagram to figure out the number of components and the values of them because there is no list of components.

A couple of DIY preamplifiers for piezoelectric elements.
This one uses two NE5534 op amps, gain is set with two resistors ( R2 and R13 ). 25 to 39 dB range. Easy to solder. https://github.com/Supermagnum/double-gain Works in simulator for electronics.
