Plan Mode Is Dead
I also didn't like the chat TUI for back and forth on things, especially on long markdown files where I felt like I needed to copy a line to comment on it. I wonder if LLM companies would rather skip a step and aim for a world where most people one-shot things, which sounds much more impressive.
I've been building https://crit.md to keep that back and forth with agents - GitHub-esque interface and have agents respond to my feedback, iterating until I'm happy.
Admittedly like many others, I use it a lot less for actual plans now, models are indeed getting really good at just getting it.
I wodner what this product space will look like a year from now. Reviews are already dying.

Great Little Software: Crit - Your Feedback Loop with the Agent
I admire Tomasz's ability to keep himself grounded in reality and to not accept the status quo. Give Crit a try, see if it fits into your workflow. It's a great little software.

Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (May 2026)
It's been three months now of building Crit - https://crit.md - local first, open source tool for reviewing markdown and code output from your favourite AI agent.
It's inspired by GitHub PR review workflow, only with quick iterations and local.
It's been great! I found some dedicated users, dogfooding it every day with Claude and starting to get more contributions from the little community. We just got accepted into Homebrew core which was my target.
I'm expanding the team features now as I've got a few users keen to get the sharing service deployed in their private networks!

Nobody Reviews Their Agent's Code
crit is a PR-style review tool for LLM agent output, built by tomasz-tomczyk. It's a single Go binary that launches a localhost web UI, detects changed files in your git repo (or takes explicit file paths), and renders them with syntax-highlighted diffs. You click on lines to leave inline comments, just like a GitHub PR review. Then you tell your agent to address the feedback, and crit reloads the files with your comments carried forward into the next round.

Ask HN: What Are You Working On? (March 2026)
Late to the thread but I've been excited to be building crit to help reviewing plans & output from LLM agents - it has boosted my productivity a lot personally and I had a lot of nice feedback from other experienced engineers finding value in it - turns out while terminal is a nice way to chat with agents, GitHub-esque PR review wins for long markdown and diff view :)
It's MIT open source, offline first, single binary
