BACnet beginner advice desperately needed for networking intern newbie
I am trying to read up on IP devices and it seems to me that this building uses an IP flavor of BACnet and not ms/tp. My predecessor seems to have simply copy and pasted the code from this sample https://github.com/JoelBender/bacpypes/blob/master/samples/IP2VLANRouter.py provided by the author of backpypes and modified it with the names of our devices. When I view the debug log, it says that the address of the devices when they are instantiated are and . These are the id's of the devices. Are these what the email I received are referring to? Should they be IP address with MAC address appended to them? How do I figure out what those values should be?
