looking for custom trees that are just the vanilla trees- mainly the old growth birch trees
you can use this download, but I'm not sure if it has the old growth birch trees: https://github.com/almic/VanillaTrees

Bug?
When you want trees without decay you should use a custom object layer and set it to 'not decay'. You can also add the standard Minecraft trees in these layers, and disable decay. However, usually people prefer using more realistic custom trees.

How do I populate my terrain with normal vanilla biome foliage????
up to 1.12 you can use the populate layer which will let Minecraft's terrain generation place the trees. for 1.13 or later Minecraft changed the terrain generation algorithm. if you want to add vanilla trees there you'd have to add them in manually using schematics/nbt files etc. here is a library of vanilla trees: https://github.com/almic/VanillaTrees although you should note that using custom trees is a similar amount of work (and can be much better). to add the trees you can use a custom object layer. (note that setting the biome alone only affects leave/grass colour and mob spawning)

I made my world, Aegeroth, into a Minecraft map
I used almic's VanillaTrees from here. The trick in WorldPainter is to go to the layers tab, click the +, and select add layers from file, and navigate to the worldpainter folder within the folder you download. You should see a list of environment types, and they contain layers you can select that will mimic the groundcover of numerous Minecraft biomes, including trees.
