Is there an alternative to using two WS2811 ics to control RGBW channels [first image], and are there any adjustments needed for the current regulator circuit [second image] ?
SmartMatrix panels - needs the SmartMatrix library (https://github.com/pixelmatix/SmartMatrix)

Need help with using Teensy 4.0 for 8x32 WS2812B LED Matrix
SmartMatrix has a shield you can use. Just plug the teensy into it, no need for a bunch of wires. They also have a library you can use for coding. This is the route I went.

12 animation layers, temporal dithering, still 240 fps @1024 LEDs. But I'm close to the thermal limit of a stock Teensy 4. Time to introduce active cooling I guess. Please ignore the interference stripes, only the camera sees it.
That's why I use APA102 LEDs driven at 12 MHz (my 16x16 panel) and in this video here I use a HUB75 panel (multiplexed LEDs) driven by the excellent SmartMatrix library from Louis (Pixelmatix). https://github.com/pixelmatix/SmartMatrix

Can I drive a HUB75 panel directly with a Teensy 4 without using a levelshifter? The SmartMartix community seems a bit inactive - that's why I'm asking here.
Seems to be this one here: https://github.com/pixelmatix/SmartMatrix/blob/master/extras/hardware/Teensy4/SmartLEDShield_Teensy4_V5_sch.pdf

Open Source Ticker Tape
This is really neat. If you were interested in doing it in future with dotmatrix panels, take a look at HUB75 addressable panels. Not crazy expensive on Aliexpress and friends.
https://github.com/pixelmatix/SmartMatrix has more details on hardware/software required.

LED PANEL : flexible module, 256x128mm resolution, 64x32 dots, HD SMD2121, P4
That's a HUB75 panel. FastLED can't drive those. You'll need a library like SmartMatrix and the associated hardware.
