  I think the problem is that the frontend tech evolves quickly. I would not be surprised if this article becomes obsolete next year because someone will redesign the create-react-app structure or integrate with something like Bun since that is the fun new thing. Last winter I followed along to a DjangoCon talk to create a hybrid Django/React app which you can see HERE, but within a few months the structure changed and react-router-dom were updated so now there is a new way detailed in your linked article. I think the tutorial safe and repeatable method will be to let django and react be their separate animals and keep them in separate containers as opposed to trying to relearn how to fuse them together every year or two.
