Anyone here makes mods or plugins for beta 1.7.3?
I was in your position a couple years ago except I had already known programming - if you want to make a Bukkit plugin, you simply add your server JAR as a dependency in IntelliJ or whatever IDE you are using (this is simple if you're using Gradle or Maven) then extend the JavaPlugin class in your main package. Add a "plugin.yml" file in your resources folder, then build a JAR using Gradle/Maven. For modding, check out RetroMCP-Java.

Decide on what APIs you will be using (ML, MLMP, Forge, etc.). In either case, download RetroMCP-Java v1.0-pre3 from the Github Releases page. After downloading the JAR, either run it from the command line or double-click on the JAR to show the GUI. Click the versions drop-down, select Beta 1.7.3, select “Yes” on the confirmation page. If you decide you need extra APIs, download these APIs from MCArchive and place the contents of these APIs in jars/minecraft.jar and jars/minecraft_server.jar respectively.

Where i can learn how to mod old versions?
When you get started, you can use MCP (optionally with ModLoader or Forge) or Fabric (Station API, Babric, etc). I would recommend using MCP since it is simple to get started. Download a Java 8 JDK and an IDE. Get RetroMCP-Java, put it in an empty folder and open it with your JDK. If you have any other Java versions installed they can conflict. (Look up how to change JAVA_HOME and Java PATH if you get stuck.)
