Creating a good AI companion?
Ever since I stumbled upon David Shapiro's LongtermChatExternalSources I became interested in having an AI companion.

I made an AI Character Chat app that lets you talk to any character from books, movies, shows, and also add your own characters with descriptions. Also has built-in ChatGPT and various helpers. App is FREE, and you can use your own API Key.
Good question, unfortunately not yet, the "memory" is pretty simple (certain depth back in the chat history, it's increased for subscribers and even more if you use your own API key.) I was looking into solutions like https://github.com/daveshap/LongtermChatExternalSources or https://github.com/FaustoNisida/Chatbot-Long-Short-Term-Memory and will add them eventually, just trying to gauge interest in the app now.

How do you add your own memories to ChatGPT using David Shapiro's code?
In this video David Shapiro shows how to give GPT3 memories effectively but at the end he mentions that you could make another folder called "kb_articles" and give it your own data for gpt to reference. But he doesn't explain how to do it. It seems like all the code is there and ready so does anyone know how to add your own data so that gpt3 can reference it? I've seen his other videos about summarising pdf's by converting them into text then having gpt3 summarise the chunks. So I've got all this text ready but I don't know how to add it to his "LongtermChatExternalSources" ?
- "Can AI be conscious?" I swear to god this is real.

Generating text using an embedding or vector?
That is happening in this code, https://github.com/daveshap/LongtermChatExternalSources/blob/main/chat.py
