Just built my gk61. Wondering if there’s a way to swap the three bottom row rightmost keys so they press the correct things shown on the keycaps, the colors are slightly different And I’d like to not have to swap the keys

You can either bind those keys using the manufacturer software or the open source software implementation - https://github.com/pixeltris/GK6X

SK6X/GK6X: This seem to really check all the boxes, particularly the GK68 which has an orthogonal right block where I would like my arrows. However, everyone seems to hate it. Most of the time the hate goes towards the terrible software - but can't you use third party open source software such as this or this? Why does everyone throw the entire board off a cliff only based on the software?

Yo my bad as stated, GK61 does not support QMK (really didn't know that), but it does have it's proprietary software, which is pretty bad like really bad. Sorry for the previous comment though hope you didn't waste your time. You can find the required software in this repository - https://github.com/pixeltris/GK6X2 projects | reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards | 7 May 2021
Hello, I got a gk61x and I want to know if there is any way to change, not the FN key, but the function keys, for example I want to change it so when I press FN + W it registers an arrow up but it registers to put in the layer 1 of the keyboard. Can I change this? I found this on github but I am not sure it can change these functions. https://github.com/pixeltris/GK6X2 projects | reddit.com/r/MechanicalKeyboards | 7 May 2021
See sample config. It can be remaped on layers 100%

Are Meckeys SK and GK keyboards compatible with linux?

The keyboard itself works fine. For configuring it, I use an open-source alternative driver which has worked just fine for me. I can change lighting effects, layers, etc. It took some effort and I'm editing the text config file manually, but I still found that easier than understanding the official software that I fired up on a windows machine.
