Malware samples during the our Malware Analysis class, and then for my Capstone project, I reverse engineered Drone software to understand its communication protocols in order to write drone interception software.

Either my Mandelbrot Set Explorer which lets you move around the Mandelbrot Set, or my Drone Interceptor that lets you hijack control of a specific type of drone.

Does anyone know how to connect to this RC vehicle programmatically?
I did something similar to hack drones for a Capstone project, and I basically did as the above commenter described. It was a long process of comparing data in captures, and then trying to recreate the same traffic in response to an Xbox controller.

Thoughts on Python’s library Scapy?
It's great. I've used it multiple times for projects. It was one of the big pieces of a drone "hacking" project I did for school. We encoded the drone's communication protocol into Scapy, which let us easily construct and parse packets.

Hello everyone, random question. I want to know the coolest thing you've ever programmed/ worked on? or the thing you're most proud of.
My two favorites are my Drone Interceptor and Mandelbrot Set Explorer projects. Both took months of work and gave me interesting challenges. The Mandelbrot Set Explorer was the first complex UI I had ever written (which is why it looks like crap), and the Drone Interceptor required a fairly involved reverse-engineering effort.

Use Python to change host's IP address from webserver submission?
This is what I did when I wanted to manipulate my wireless NIC using Python. I created a simple class that just uses subprocess to run iwconfig for me.

How do you finish a project?
It depends on what your goals are. I just finished a long-ish, 4-month school project. It worked as planned, we demoed it, and now it sits on Github. It wasn't really made to be expanded (no unit tests :|), but if I ever wanted to package it, I could do it at that point.
