Creating Compendium’s For Deadlands Classic
So my group is moving onto Foundry after a year of a campaign running in Deadland’s Classic. I have about 15 books in PDF format that has taken years to find and purchase. The current system I am using is https://github.com/RhombusWeasel/Deadlands-Classic I was curious if there was an easier way for me to create all the items, varmints, critters, hindrances etc in the compendium section of Foundry so that all of it is not stored on the server 100% of the time. I am using The Forge for connecting my players. Right now, the only solution I have is inputting all my material one by one which could take me a verryy long time.

What challenges have you run into when coding your own game system?
I've made a couple of game systems now, one for Deadlands Classic and one for HeroQuest. I'm writing a third right now for a custom Dungeon Crawler.

Best online tabletop for Deadlands Original (Cards and Dice)
Out of all of those, I'd recommend Foundry VTT. For a one time fee of $50 (that only one person needs to pay) you get a fully featured and extensible VTT that has lots of neat features like dynamic lighting, line of sight, fog of war, etc. It is extendable through community created modules that can add all sorts of functionality, including full support for game systems, such as this one for Deadlands Classic. v9 of Foundry just added official card deck support, and future updates will continue to improve this.
