Did you make your flail +3 thing on main floor? Starting with SoD, you start running into these creatures with some very specific immunities and buffs unless you look them up you would have no idea why you are getting your asses handed. This is why I suggest you get this at the very least, https://github.com/Bubb13/EEex. If you hit shift on anyone, you see list of spells active. Better yet use this like you own Beastiary: https://github.com/tapahob/BG2RadarOverlay, when you wonder why you cannot damage something or someone.
This mod is game changing. Excellent addition for any new comers to BG franchise.

Well being fairly new to OG BG series. I had a difficult time parsing status effects. I mean in BG1 there aren't that many instances this really mattered but in BG2, I am running into some crazy immunities, etc. Anyhow, this mod changes all that and wanted to bring attention to it. https://github.com/tapahob/BG2RadarOverlay For someone used to viewing enemy stats in detail, this is a must-have mod. I hope the author gets more support for the effort in the future.
