Over the past few months I've been working on a new 3D printed digital controller called the BubbleBox and wanted to share it here

  • BubbleBox

    Stickless fighting game controller

  • Hello! My name is Bloojay and I grew a love for platfighters during the pandemic and have been developing hand and wrist problems ever since lol. So I went to buy one of them Box controllers that I here so much about and to my surprise they're sold out basically everywhere all the time. Then I remembered that I built my own 3D printer and am trained in computer aided design, so I decided to make one myself. It's open source, and it's called the BubbleBox, and yeah. Here's the Github, includes the print files w/options, the BOM, the assembly instuctions, and quick start guide.

  • HayBox

Modular cross-platform firmware for digital or mixed analog/digital game controllers

  • It runs on Haybox firmware. So it's compatible with PC and Linux, as well as N64, GameCube, Wii, Wii-U, and Switch. It recently got Xinput support too, so it's a lot easier to use on modern games like Rivals of Aether and Multiversus. The firmware also includes a custom keyboard mode that I have been using for Guilty Gear Strive, but since Xinput is out, I'm also working on a Strive Xinput mode so it can be used at locals much easier than before because it will get treated as a normal controller in those games.
