Several of the tests that I did prior to this issue were using sketches that use this Joystick library (https://github.com/MHeironimus/ArduinoJoystickLibrary), which is HID, if I understand correctly. What's odd though is: why was I able to upload new sketches previously if the HID functionality disables the serial functionality? I have other projects which use an Arduino Micro and this library and similarly, I've been able to continue to upload new sketches to them.
