    • Who needs a cloud, when you can be your own cloud. I would tell you to check out OpenHAB It will be a whole lot better than Home Assistant without an internet connection. Ask me how I know. Also HA and OpenHAB have a little bit of a learning curve, but for some of the simpler automations you are talking about, you can completely point and click it with OpenHAB. I also found it to be more stable.
