For Mac users there's DevilutionX. I played through the Diablo base game & Hellfire expansion a little while ago. Worked perfectly. Probably not as elaborate as The Hell 2 but works great. Has a few improvements like resolution too. Works on a lot of different systems like Linux.
It's also available for the 3DS if you have CFW. Downloadable through Universal-Updater 3DS app in the main database, Universal-DB. You have to transfer the base game files to the DevilutionX directory on your SDHC card.
