  • gamescope

Discontinued SteamOS session compositing window manager [Moved to: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/gamescope] (by Plagman)

  • Here is the GIT for it, everything is explained there on what you are after.

  • proton-ge-custom

Compatibility tool for Steam Play based on Wine and additional components

  • It should be noted, if you cannot seem to get gamescope running as well as you'd hope (which was my case) you can still use FSR in any game running in Wine, by using a GE-wine/proton version and putting certain launch arguments. That's how I play some games upscaled. https://support.system76.com/articles/use-amd-fsr/ But keep in mind, newer GE proton/wine releases don't need one of those launch arguments https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/GE-Proton7-29 you can just specify a launch resolution or FSR quality. Or not at all if it works fine without it.
