The key thing to know about Decor Pikmin is that for the game to know that a certain location type exists at a certain location, someone has to have documented its existence. The main source Pikmin Bloom uses for its locations is OpenStreetMap, though it also uses other sources such as Foursquare, Yelp, and Google Places. These give it a fairly comprehensive map of location types, but it's not perfect and can be outdated sometimes. There's also the issue that the game has to know what tags on each of these databases correspond to each location type, as each source does this differently. Art galleries in particular have quite weird and incomplete tag recognition by Pikmin Bloom, so a lot of art galleries aren't detected by the game.
