storage provider can be your own ipfs node (kubo, js-ipfs) or some cloud service (nft.storage, pinata, infura, fleek, ...).
For all I know web3.storage might be really screwing up their IPFS interface, or heck, might not actually be using IPFS at all. No idea, but if you're only finding information about files in it, that doesn't sound optimistic.
