What's the go to firmware these days

  This is optimized firmware for Ender3 V2/S1 3D printers.

Another very popular Marlin based firmware is the "Professional Firmware" by mriscoc. I've only looked at it briefly, but seems an extremely capable firmware with active development.

The thing I love about Jyers is it's straightforward and just works (for me at least). Bed levelling and mesh creation is easy, the UI is clean and easy to navigate. Jyers seems to have gone silent recently, but LCh-77 has picked up the baton and created an advanced version based on Marlin 2.1
