Obsidian is a (free) general-purpose notetaking app that has a lot of cool features. Easily replaces OneNote. Lots to recommend it as a notetaking app on its own (e.g. backlinks), so natively can do the second task very well if you copy in passages. But you can supersize it with a plugin that gives you the ability to do the first as well.
Wonderful to hear fellow Baha’i’s learning about graphed note taking like Obsidian! I personally use Roam Research but there are similar apps such as Logseq that do very similar functions to Roam and Obsidian for free.
